What to study
Between runs, Vampire Survivors' permanent progression fits on one panel with no scrolling and no tree: twelve single-word stats in a grid, each with checkmark pips for the ranks already bought, and a footer that prices the next rank of whichever tile is selected (Max Health: 460 gold for +10% per level, capped at +30%). The flatness is the point, a player can see their entire meta-build, what it cost, and what remains, in a single screen, and every purchase is small and capped so no single PowerUp can outgrow the run itself. It is the Mirror-of-Night idea stripped to a vending machine. Frame at about 0:13 in the December 2021 - Early Access Release trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the panel is held settled for roughly two seconds and the following frame shows the same grid a purchase later, with Max Health checked and 'MAXIMUM LEVEL REACHED' in the footer). A second later state is preserved in the prep's fine pass (fine/v2_015.png).

Screen inventory
- the same centred panel frame as Character Selection and Collection, title 'PowerUp Selection', the gold purse at 64143, a red BACK button, now filled with a 4x3 grid of twelve permanent upgrades bought between runs
- the twelve tiles are the game's entire stat vocabulary, one word each: Might, Armor, Max Health, Amount / Area, Cooldown, Growth, Velocity / Speed, Magnet, Duration, Luck, each tile is a name, one icon, and a row of small rank squares underneath
- bought ranks are gold checkmarks and unbought ranks are dark empty squares, readable across the whole grid at a glance: Armor shows three checks, Growth four, Amount one, and Might five empty squares, the account's whole investment history is one grid
- Max Health is selected (gold corner brackets) and the footer strip is a shop card: the heart icon, 'Augments max health by 10% per level (max +30%)', a price of 460 gold and a green Buy button, the description states the per-level value and the cap in the same sentence
- nothing escalates or branches: there is no tree, no prerequisite line and no respec button visible, permanent progression is a flat grid of small, capped, individually priced stats
