What to study

Between runs, the orbs a team earns are spent in Reed's Lab, the mode's permanent unlock screen. It is drawn as a place, not a spreadsheet: a circular vault door takes the left half of the screen, its face set with three rows of hexagonal slots in purple, orange and teal, and Reed's suit stands on a display plinth at the right. The selected hex, a stone idol, opens a plain blue detail card that does all the talking: the item's name, EARTH IDOL OF GOLTHANA, one sentence of effect ('Smash airborne enemies in a 180 radius around the hero'), and its price, COST 3, set against the orb balance of 7 in the header. Locked slots stay as dark silhouettes, so the grid reads as a collection to complete. Frame at about 0:36 in the DLC's Game Mode Trailer (Steam); pre-release footage (DLC launches 10 Nov 2026).
