What to study
The Collection is Vampire Survivors' codex, and it withholds almost everything a codex usually gives: no names on the grid, no categories, no lore, just icons for what you have found and grey question marks for what you have not, with a one-sentence description in the footer for whatever tile you land on ('Wings, Character moves 10% faster.'). Completion is communicated spatially, as a 43-slot grid filling up, which makes the screen a progress bar you can browse. Read alongside the Refreshed Trailer's later version of this screen ('Collected: 132 of 137' over a much larger grid, seen only in zoomed pans in that trailer), the Early Access state kept here shows the same design at a scale where the whole grid, and the ten remaining question marks, fits one frame. Frame at about 0:12 in the December 2021 - Early Access Release trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the scene-change pass did catch this panel, as candidate v2_0001 at 12.07s, and this 1 fps fine frame is the same settled state).

Screen inventory
- the shared menu frame again, title 'Collection', gold purse 64143, red BACK button, with the panel given over to a single icon grid: 43 item slots in six rows (eight wide, the last row short)
- found items are drawn as their pixel icons in gold-bordered black tiles, whip, wands, knife, axe, scythe, spell book, cross, clover, crown-adjacent trinkets and a roast chicken among them, and items not yet found are not silhouettes or names but plain grey tiles with a white '?', ten of them in this frame
- there are no category tabs, no search and no rarity colours: weapons, passives and pickups share one undifferentiated grid, ordered only by the game's own internal sequence
- the footer strip is the grid's only text: the selected tile is Wings (marked with gold corner brackets in the fourth row), named in yellow, with its whole entry reading 'Character moves 10% faster.', the Collection explains items in the same one-sentence language as every other screen
- the grid is mostly empty slate below the last row, the panel is sized for the full collection from the start, so completion is visible as the grid filling, not as a percentage
