What to study
Hovering one prisoner collapses the whole simulation into a six-line card. Name and age first (Richard Osborne, 23), then the game's honesty about its own limits - '(??? Psychology ???)', because nobody has researched him yet - then his state as a formal register: '=[Status Effects]=', a row of plus signs, 'Suppressed'. The last line is the one that makes the card an interface rather than a biography: 'Todo: Escort Prisoner to Cell' - the prisoner is shown as a job in somebody else's queue, which is exactly what he is in this game's model of a prison. Around the card the institution carries on being legible at a glance: the KITCHEN wears its name across its own floor, the yard's weight benches stand in rows, and the Emergencies mini-panel at bottom left quietly reports the day's cost (FireEngine 0/2, RiotPolice 1/3, Paramedics 0/2). Honest context: this frame is the aftermath of a riot - Dead and Unconscious status labels and some blood are visible around the solitary row at the bottom; those labels are the same status UI the card belongs to. Frame at about 0:59 in the Prison Architect V1.0 trailer (Steam), a scene-change survivor (v0_0044). Screen type follows the Dwarf Fortress unit-detail precedent (a person card filed under character-unit; the manifest has no tooltip bucket).

- bottom-left Emergencies mini-panel above the toolbar: FireEngine 0/2, RiotPolice 1/3, Paramedics 0/2; a RiotPolice squad card pinned at the right edge

Fetched 2026-10-21. verified 2026-10-21: scene-change frame v0_0044 (Prison Architect V1.0 trailer @58.8s) inspected at full resolution (1920x1080 native); genuine in-game prisoner tooltip confirmed settled and legible (name, age, Psychology line, Status Effects register and Todo line all readable, as are the Emergencies counts); FLAGGED: the frame is post-riot aftermath - DEAD / Unconscious status labels and blood are visible near the solitary row; those are the game's own status UI, not an overlay; no trailer text or watermark overlays the frame
