What to study
Clicking Engage Pact opens this: your whole unit collection re-read as raw material. The design move is the overlay, every card's art is overwritten with the essence it would yield if sacrificed, so the grid stops being a deck list and becomes a price list in a currency only this screen uses. The confirmation grammar is careful: the banner restates the exact essence the hovered Glareminder will give, the card glows, and Sacrifice is a second, labelled click beneath it, not the click that selected it. Even the escape hatches are honest, an X on the banner and a Toggle that flips the essences off again. Where the pact shrine sold the idea of sacrifice, this screen makes you look at each unit's price tag one by one. Frame at about 0:37 in the Monster Train The Last Divinity trailer (Steam).

Screen inventory
- a gold banner across the top asks the entire question, 'Sacrifice Glareminder?', and states the payment in the same line: 'Essence, +5 health and 'Etch: Apply Reap 2 to enemy units.'', with an X close button at its right end
- the grid below prints every unit's essence over its art, so the sacrifice candidates are compared by what they would give: Kinhost Carapace 'Summon: +10 attack and +10 health', two Molluscmages '+5 attack, +3 health, and +10 Magic Power on this floor.'
- the selected Glareminder (1 cost, 'Sweep. Etch: Apply Reap 2 to enemy units.', 5 attack / 20 health, KIN) glows blue and carries its own gold Sacrifice button, selecting a unit and destroying it are two separate clicks
- a 'Toggle Unit Essences' tab floats at the left edge: the grid can flip between normal card text and essence text, because on this screen the essence is the card's value
- the second row shows four identical pumpkin-headed units, each repeating '+5 attack and +15 health', duplicates are displayed as duplicates, not stacked into a count
