What to study

Put beside the Planning frame, this is the other half of Loop Hero's design: Adventure is the phase you do not play. The hero walks, fights and loots on his own, and the interface admits it, the deck shrinks to a one-row ticker along the bottom, the map fills the screen with a world that has outgrown its road, and the player's remaining agency is compressed into the right-hand column, where new loot lands and stats climb. The two banners, PLANNING and ADVENTURE, eye and moon, are the game's whole contract stated in one word each: first you build the loop, then the loop plays you. Frame at about 0:38 in the Gameplay Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0009).

Screen inventory

  • the same frame, switched: the centre banner now reads ADVENTURE beside a moon-globe icon instead of Planning's eye, and the loop runs itself, the white hero figure and glowing green and yellow summons are mid-path among wheat, bone and grove tiles on a tall vertical loop hemmed in by forest and mountain tiles that have grown far beyond the road
  • the hand has changed shape with the phase: thirteen cards now stretch the full width of the bottom edge, shrunk to compact icon tiles because during Adventure the deck is a queue to glance at, not a choice to deliberate over, the same cards, presented at two sizes for two kinds of attention
  • the right column is now full: the equipment grid is packed with orange and blue items, health reads 1661 / 1667 over a second bar at 230 / 3620, and the loot grid below is twelve filled slots, a late-loop inventory with none of the empty grey of the Planning frame
  • the STATS panel speaks a different class: DAMAGE 23-35, MAX HP +1397, DAMAGE TO ALL 14, MAGIC DAMAGE 9, DEFENSE 30, ATTACK SPEED +46%, COUNTER +11%, EVASION 8%, a warrior's list with no skeleton vocabulary at all, proving the panel is re-authored per class while its place in the layout never moves
