What to study
The Engineer's HUD adds a second layer the combat frame does not show: deployables get their own persistent status panel at the bottom right, with each sentry gun's state (Inactive here) and a shared ammo pool (515) readable at a glance, so the player manages turrets without opening a menu. The objective tracker (Golden Bugs) sits top left, the compass stays top center, and a pickup counter (Gold 24) floats bottom center when minerals are collected. The narration subtitle is burned across the middle of this trailer frame, but every HUD element sits at the edges and stays legible. Frame at about 2:04 in the Launch Day Narrated Gameplay Trailer (Steam).
