What to study

Random events arrive as FTL-style story panels over the star map: 'A Strange Light' asks whether to approach the twinkly things out there, and the two replies carry the game's voice, the cautious one highlighted ('EVERYTHING'S twinkly out here! Ignore it. No way we find anything worth our time there') against the blunt 'Approach, duh!'. The panel's title tab, the asteroid art at its left edge and the RANDOM EVENT tag at bottom-right frame the choice as a map event, not a cutscene. Frame at about 1:11 in the Launch trailer (Steam).
