What to study

The encounter frame shows what the HUD does when the game stops for talk: nothing. No dialogue box, no prompt, no portrait cut in; the same mask row and silk meter stay pinned to the corner while Hornet faces a hooded traveller in the grotto. The long empty silk meter under the spool reads as the cost of the last fight still unpaid, and the absence of any interaction chrome is itself the design choice: Silksong keeps the world continuous and lets the characters, not a panel, carry the conversation. Frame at about 47.9s in the Reveal Trailer (Steam).
