What to study
Dorfromantik's opening frame teaches the game by withholding it: one tile, a score of zero, a budget of 75, and a single quest flag on the stack. There is no tutorial text and no menu bar, the interface is the stack itself, drawn as a physical pile of hexes with its count on a badge, and the quest as a small flag pinned to the tile that will satisfy it. The design lesson is how little a cosy builder needs to say: place tiles, match the flags, watch the number climb, and the empty pink void makes the growing island the only thing worth looking at. Frame at about 2:16 in the Full Release Explanation Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0002).

Screen inventory
- the run has barely started: one green hex sits in the centre of six empty ghost hexes, and the top right reads score 0 beside a Tiles Placed 0 / 75 bar, the whole game economy, a score and a tile budget, stated before anything is built
- the tile stack at bottom right is drawn as a literal stack of hexes with a white 25 badge, and its top tile carries a quest flag: a tree icon with 5+, the first demand the player must satisfy by growing a forest of at least five trees
- the corners carry the only other controls: a tree-in-hex menu icon at top left and a faint rotate arrow at bottom right, so the opening screen is almost empty on purpose, the void is the board, and the stack is the hand
- the flat dusty-pink background is not a skybox but negative space: Dorfromantik's board floats in colour, and unplaced territory is shown as pale ghost hexes rather than fog or a grid
