What to study
CrossCode calls its skill tree Circuits, and the name is the design: progression is literally wired. Owned nodes are connected by glowing red cable, lit from a hub at the centre of the frame outward through diamond icons, fist, shield, heart, eye, sword, flame, while the branches not yet bought stay thin grey traces on the black ground, so the shape of a build can be read as a circuit diagram before a single label is read. Colour carries the state everywhere: red for live, grey for dormant, chained white frames for the two locked nodes at lower right. The tooltip is a model of compression, 'Flame Jab' in yellow, its class 'MELEE ART' small at the card's edge, one sentence of effect with the status it applies, 'Burn', coloured as a keyword, and the currency never leaves the screen: a flame icon and 'CP 15' sit between the LB / RB branch-switch tabs at bottom left. The header's 'Swap Branches' control is the system's promise that this wiring can be re-routed rather than regretted. Frame at about 1:11 in the CrossCode Trailer 0.7 (Steam), a manual extraction at 71.25s (the scene-change pass missed the whole 66–72s menu sequence), inspected at full resolution (1920x1080).

Screen inventory
- header tabs: 'Circuits' title at left, then 'X Swap Branches', 'Y Help', 'B Back'
- a diamond-node graph on a near-black ground: the owned path at left and centre is drawn in glowing red lines through diamond icons (fist, shield, green heart, purple eye, sword and flame glyphs), while unowned branches at right stay thin and grey
- two locked nodes at lower right drawn as flame diamonds in chained white frames
- the open tooltip card: 'Flame Jab' in yellow with 'MELEE ART' at its right edge, and the description 'A blazing thrust of fire piercing through enemies in front of you. Causes Burn.', 'Burn' picked out in yellow
- bottom-left controls: 'LB' and 'RB' shoulder tabs flanking a flame icon with 'CP 15', the circuit-point balance
