What to study
The firing-line system at its most complex: the boss is not one attacker but a row of cannons, each with its own intent number, so the player reads a whole volley spread across the ship's width instead of a single incoming hit. The player's status pips under the hull bar and the four-card hand (including the multi-hit Barrage) show the defensive answer taking shape. This is the frame that justifies the positional combat, since dodging means choosing which cannon's line to leave. Frame at about 1:04 in the Jan 2023 Trailer (Steam). No trailer burn-in or captions visible.
