What to study

The pre-battle briefing as a single translucent sheet laid over the party screen it interrupts. The design lesson is hierarchy: the win condition gets one gold line ('Vanquish the enemy leader!'), and everything optional is demoted to a numbered Bonus Objectives list, composition feats (win with an archer in the party), technique feats (strike multiple tiles with one attack) and a system prompt (obtain a buff card) that quietly teaches Reborn's card mechanic before the fight starts. Because the sheet is translucent, the party you just built stays visible as silhouettes underneath; you are briefed in context, not taken to a separate screen. The trailer presents the panel over its dark backdrop and its embers cross the panel face; the text is complete and settled at this timestamp (at 100.5s the bonus list is still fading in). Frame at about 1:42 in the ESRB EN Launch Trailer (Steam), a manual probe extraction (probes/p102.png at 102.0s).

Screen inventory

  • the briefing hierarchy in two type sizes: 'Objectives' in serif white, then the win condition alone in gold, 'Vanquish the enemy leader!', one line, impossible to miss or misread
  • under a ruled divider, Bonus Objectives as a numbered list with trophy icons: I Win with an archer in the battle party. II Perform an attack that strikes multiple tiles. III Obtain a buff card., optional feats stated as plainly as the goal
  • the panel is translucent by design: the battle-party screen it opened over ghosts through, its Battle Party 1 stepper and Deployed 10 / Slots 10 tabs at top right (partly covered by the briefing's top edge), CLASS All / RACE All filters at right, and the deployed units' silhouette row along the bottom, briefing as a layer, not a destination
