What to study
Losing a Siege run gets its own designed screen instead of a plain game-over. A wide banner over a dark Castle Doom backdrop announces 'Doom Is Victorious!' and grades the run on a track of ten nodes: three blue orbs lit, one node turned red, six still dark, how far the team got, drawn as the same orb language the HUD gauges use. The hexagonal badge at the right keeps the run's orb count, 03. Underneath, the game spends its one teaching moment: a tip explaining that less hazardous Castle Arenas are how you stay alive, which is the door-choice system explained back to the player at the exact moment a failed run makes it matter. Frame at about 0:35 in the DLC's Game Mode Trailer (Steam); pre-release footage (DLC launches 10 Nov 2026).
