What to study

This is the settlement as a defensive machine, not a backdrop: the wall line, tower placement, and packed housing are all readable as one layout, and the objectives panel names the stakes in plain language (survive the single wave, keep one named rider alive). The economy panel makes the siege legible as arithmetic: 500 people against a 490 cap, food at 2110 of 4000, consumption at 500 per day, so the player can see how long the town holds without opening another screen. Compare the day-11 management frame, which shows the same systems at peace. Frame at about 0:45 in the Gameplay trailer 10.2024 (Steam). Disclosure: a small in-game 0.9.28 dev build watermark is visible in the bottom-left corner; no trailer captions appear on the frame.
