What to study
Inside a player-owned outpost, Barotrauma keeps the same HUD grammar as the submarine, a crew roster stacked at top left, the current objective on a parchment banner, and the inventory hotbar along the bottom, and lets the base itself become the level: bunks, vending machines and a wall of status screens fill the cross-section, while a crewmate interaction ('Joel Rosewood, [G] Grab, [H] Heal') floats over the pair it concerns. The frame is from Dev Diary Ep. 2 and carries its narration subtitle across the bottom, partly over the hotbar; the roster, objective and prompt are fully legible. Pre-release footage, the expansion launches Dec 2, 2026. Frame at about 1:03 in Dev Diary Ep. 2 (Steam).
