What to study

The Orders panel is the roguelite's contract board, and its design decision is that a slot's state is read from its material, not its label. A finished order (JOYFUL BEAVERS) collapses to a dark card with its rewards ticked off. An order whose objective is met but not yet handed in (CLEARING GLADES at 2/2 and 6/3; JOYFUL HUMANS, Done, with 03:52 left on its timer) stays on bright parchment and burns around the edges until it is delivered, urgency drawn as fire, not as a badge. An order not yet chosen is not a grey rectangle but a sealed leather pouch, gold or purple, with a PICK button: choosing is breaking the Queen's seal, and what is inside stays hidden until then. And the board's future is two dark slots whose only content is a countdown, UNLOCKS IN 11:57 on a green arc, so the player can see the run's demands arriving before they land. Every order pays the same final line, the Reputation medallion, 1, tying the whole grid back to the blue bar on the HUD. The tab bar above (ORDERS / TRADING POST / TRADE ROUTES / RECIPES / CONSUMPTION) puts this board one click from trade and from the needs it must satisfy. Frame at about 1:09 in the 1.0 Release Date Trailer video (Steam), manually extracted at 68.5s: the scene-change pass emitted no frame inside the orders segment (its nearest candidates are the trader panel at 56.7s and the hex map at 82.6s).

  • header tab bar shared with the whole economy: ORDERS (active), TRADING POST, TRADE ROUTES, RECIPES, CONSUMPTION
  • a ten-slot board, two rows of five, in which every order slot is in a different state: JOYFUL BEAVERS reads COMPLETED with its three rewards ticked (5/min, 10, 3) over the Reputation medallion (1)
  • two parchment orders ready to hand in, their edges burning with an animated flame border: CLEARING GLADES (OBJECTIVE 2/2 and 6/3; REWARDS 30 / 3 / 4 and Reputation 1; DELIVER) and JOYFUL HUMANS (OBJECTIVE Done; REWARDS 5/min, 5 and 3 villagers; DELIVER (03:52), a timed order still counting down)
  • ARCHAEOLOGY below it, part-done (OBJECTIVE 2/2 and 0/3; REWARDS a vessel, 2 and 12; its DELIVER button still grey)
  • four unopened orders drawn as sealed leather pouches, two gold, two purple, each headed CHOOSE AN ORDER with a PICK button: the choice itself is presented as breaking a seal
  • two dark slots at the foot of the right columns reading UNLOCKS IN over circular green-arc timers at 11:57, future order slots arriving on a clock

Fetched 2026-10-21. verified 2026-10-21: frame manually extracted at 68.5s from the pipeline-downloaded 1.0 Release Date Trailer (Steam) and inspected visually at full resolution (1920x1080 native); genuine in-game Orders panel confirmed settled and legible (all five tab labels, every order name, objective fractions, reward counts, the DELIVER (03:52) timer and both 11:57 unlock timers all readable; a probe at 69.5s shows the same panel a second later with CLEARING GLADES flipped to COMPLETED and the JOYFUL HUMANS DELIVER button lit gold, the panel is live, and 68.5s is the fuller state; a probe at 67.5s shows the same board); the flame border on the two deliverable orders is the game's own deliver-ready state, present in both probes; no trailer typography overlays the frame
