What to study

Markings are chosen as heraldry: each option is a silhouette glyph, so twelve coats can be compared at a glance without rendering twelve cats, and the one live preview at right translates the glyph into fur, stripes, mask and dipped paws. The grid reads like a page of clan symbols, which is exactly the register the books' allegiances pages use. Frame at about 0:08 in the Launch Trailer video (Steam), a pipeline scene-change survivor (candidates/v0_0003.png at 7.6s).
