What to study

Finding a plant in the wild gets the game's one moment of ceremony: a moss-edged green banner, 'New Plant Acquired', laid across the seam between the two workspaces it connects, the labelled shelves above, the gridded collecting map below, with a single OK to dismiss it. The composition is the game's loop in one frame: go out on the map, come back with a specimen, and only then start the real work of identifying it, which is why the banner pointedly does not name what was found. The right rail's 'Day 2 / Saturday' plate and the two dread/inspection meters stay visible around the banner, keeping the acquisition inside the shop's ongoing calendar instead of a separate results screen. The trailer's narration caption along the bottom is trailer dressing, not game UI. Frame at about 0:28 in the Release Date Reveal Trailer (Steam; manual extraction from the 1 fps fine pass over the window 14–36s).

Screen inventory

  • a wide green banner with torn, mossy edges stretches across the middle of the screen carrying a single line in display lettering, 'New Plant Acquired', flanked by curl ornaments, with one small green OK button under it, a new specimen joins the collection as a full-width announcement that pauses everything else
  • above the banner the shop shelves are still visible with the collection in place, small yellow labels tied to individual pots, and the right-hand rail shows the game's quiet chrome: gear, information and person icons over a 'Day 2 / Saturday' date plate, the day counter is part of the shop furniture
  • below the banner the collecting map lies open on the desk where the excursion happened, its grid letters (g to q) and compass rose visible at left, beside two of the round meters, 'A CLOSER INSPECTION' (microscope) and 'A RISING DREAD' (skull), the banner bridges the two workspaces, shelves above and map below, because acquiring happens between them
  • nothing in the banner names the plant: the reward is the addition to the collection itself, and its identity is still to be worked out back at the desk with the book
