What to study
Identification in Strange Horticulture is not finished when the player knows the answer, it is finished when they write it on a label. This modal is that commit: the book's evidence stays open underneath ('medicinal properties… digestive troubles', the flower drawing), the specimen sits in its medallion at left next to the stack of remaining blank tags, and the player confirms a handwritten tag that records both the name and the judgment, 'Gilded Dendra - Deadly!'. Because labelled plants are what customers are later served from the shelves, the tag is the game's save file for a deduction, a wrong name written here is a wrong plant served later, which is why a whole modal, and an OK, are spent on one small piece of card. Frame at about 1:33.5 in the Release Date Reveal Trailer (Steam; manual extraction from the 2 fps fine pass over the window 88–98s, where the settled modal holds from ~93s to ~94s).

Screen inventory
- the frame is a close-up of the labelling moment itself: on a torn-edged parchment card laid over the open book, a finished yellow plant label in handwritten script reads 'Gilded Dendra - Deadly!', the identification and the safety warning are written onto the same tag, in the player's own hand
- a single green OK button with leaf flourishes under the card is the only control: confirming the label is the commit point of the whole deduction, after which this tag will hang on the plant on the shelves
- at left a stack of still-blank yellow labels waits beside a circular green medallion holding the identified plant itself, a potted blue-bell flower, so the before (blank tags), the subject (the specimen) and the after (the written tag) are all in one frame
- behind the card the book page that decided it is still partly readable: 'A plant with medicinal properties that can aid with digestive troubles' and a line drawing of the flower, with 'leaves are safe' visible at the right edge, the evidence stays under the verdict while the verdict is written
