What to study

Two windows carry the whole character system at once: the player window pairs a paper doll with a stats column (health, energy, damage, defence), active techs, and pet stats, while the storage window beside it is a plain 24-slot grid with a single 'Take all' escape hatch. The lesson is the split: character state and container contents never share a window, so moving loot is a drag between two clearly owned spaces rather than one crowded panel. Note the trailer burn-in at the bottom of the frame: 'FOLLOW THE TRAIL / FIND CLUES AND TRACK DOWN YOUR TARGETS' is trailer caption text, not game UI. Frame at about 0:37 in the Starbound 1.4 Bounty Hunter Update trailer (Steam).
