What to study
This is HypnOS multitasking at full density: an installer finishing over a music library, an image viewer and a file list, with the Soundscape Generator, the in-fiction sleep machine's control deck, docked along the bottom as fake hardware. The study point is that every app speaks the same window language (blue title bars, orange X, TYPE/NAME tables) yet keeps a distinct personality: the Generator gets wood grain, knobs and a version number, because it is a physical object the player character owns, while pure software stays flat. Software installation, the most ordinary OS act there is, is treated as a story event with its own dialog and payoff line. Frame at about 0:20 in the 2020 Trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the stack is a held composite the scene-change pass sampled only in wipe frames).

Screen inventory
- centre frame, the HYPNOS INSTALLER dialog states its result in two lines: 'Professor Helper for HypnOS has finished installing.' and a wide button reading 'Installation Complete!', the confirmation is the button
- below it, the SCG SOUNDSCAPE GENERATOR v1.06 is drawn as a wooden hardware unit: a POWER switch set to ON, three knobs read VOLUME 100, INTENSITY 6, WARBLE 0, and its SOUNDSCAPE list shows scg_temple, scg_mystery, scg_secretforest (highlighted), scg_spooky, scg_medieval, credited 'by SonicChaosGroup'
- top-right, the TUNEBOX LIBRARY reports '8/8 TRACKS SELECTED' with 'Chowder Man, I am the Chowder Man' highlighted, under the OM TUNEBOX player whose LIBRARY / SKIN tabs name the playing track, 'Zared, Agent of Peace'
- left, a file list of BoppoStickers rows (times :25P) and the HYPNOFILE OBSERVER window titled BOPPOSTICKERS01 showing a hot dog image with a + button, the Observer is the image viewer, and its subject is a sticker of a hot dog
- a tooltip at the right edge is cut off mid-sentence ('…added to Tune…'): the desktop is busier than the frame, and windows honestly overlap, hide and interrupt each other
