What to study
Captain of Industry treats player factories as shareable content, and the browser is built like a storefront inside the game: a filter rail narrows 1,490 layouts by compatibility (base game only, my selection, everything), cards carry downloads, comments, stars, and approval percent, and pagination runs to 59 pages. The compatibility filter is the design lesson, since a blueprint that needs an expansion the player lacks is useless no matter how good it looks. The top HUD and bottom build toolbar stay visible behind the modal, so browsing never fully leaves the game. Frame at about 0:05 in the Update 4.2 trailer (Steam). Disclosure: no trailer burn-in or captions; one card thumbnail itself contains the text CAPTAIN OF INDUSTRY UPDATE 4 PERFECT OIL as part of that user blueprint's thumbnail art.
