What to study
Voidship combat is Rogue Trader's second tactics game, and its HUD argues it is the same game wearing a bigger hull: the portrait bar stops being a warband and becomes a bridge crew, six named offices, each with a portrait, a title and its own ability column, while the unit card at the centre stops being a person and becomes a facing diagram, PROW / PORT / DORSAL / RIGHT around a 155/155 hull bar. The transfer is the lesson: turn queue at the left, active-unit plate, base plates under ships, end-turn skull at the corner, a player who has learned the ground game's grammar can read a naval battle on sight, and the only genuinely new information (which arc of your ship faces the guns) is given the place of honour in the middle of the bar. Frame at about 1:15 in the 1st release trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v1_0008).

Screen inventory
- the bottom bar becomes the bridge: a cathedral-facade strip of officer stations, each a portrait with its title lettered beneath, SUPREME COMMANDER, MASTER OF ORDNANCE, ENGINSEER PRIME at left; MASTER HELMSMAN, WARP GUIDE, MASTER OF ETHERICS at right, every post flanked by its own column of ability icons, several lit green or blue for available
- the ship itself is the centre of the bar: a schematic cluster labelled PROW at top, PORT and RIGHT at the sides, DORSAL below, with the hull read out as 155/155 over a long green hull bar, the vessel's facing arcs are the unit card, because in void combat which arc faces the enemy is the decision
- the left queue works exactly like the ground game's: enemy skull plates stacked above the hover plate for the acting ship, 'Rogue Trader, 155/155', and the battlefield marks targets the same way too, the burning enemy vessel standing on a red rectangular base plate while the player's cathedral-prowed ship holds station by the planet
- threat is lettered in the sky: red skull markers ride at the top of the frame over the sun, and the same right-edge icon rail and green-skull end-turn dial ('Space') close the frame, one chrome language for infantry and starships alike
