What to study

The world map is a page in the claim file, drawn the way an 1803 chart would be: land is solid black, the sea is stipple and grid, and the only information layered on top is the ship's intended course, a dashed line dropping south from a diamond marker off the English coast, past Madeira, toward the Canary Islands, with further diamonds marking the waypoints where the voyage can be checked against what the inspector finds aboard. Continent and island names (EUROPE, AFRICA, AZORES, MADEIRA) are set in the same stippled serif as the book's text pages, so the chart reads as one more document in the file rather than a separate map screen, and there is no legend, scale bar or UI chrome anywhere on it. Frame at about 1:31 in the Announcement video (Steam), manually extracted at 90.5s: the scene-change pass caught this page only in a tighter northern pan position (candidates/v0_0015.png). Caveat: the trailer camera pans slowly south across the chart, so this is a pan position, not a settled wide shot, every label in frame is sharp, but CANARY and AFRICA are clipped at the bottom edge and Scotland sits off the top.
