What to study

The boss/god encounter grammar is the same as Hades I's (hades-2: oversized portrait at many times in-world scale, nameplate tab, live scene behind) but the visual language is inverted: Selene's dialogue box is dark and moon-lit where Hades I's was plain parchment, and her crescent-crown nameplate reads SELENE / MOON INCARNATE in cyan rather than Megaera's orange. Selene is a new, Hades II-specific figure (the source of the moon-blessed Hexes), so this documents new-game dialogue design rather than repeating the original's cast. Frame at about 1:33 in the v1.0 Showcase (Steam).
