What to study
Photo mode designed as a scrapbook, not a camera app. The editing surface keeps exactly one rail, a sticker palette whose vocabulary is the game's follower-life iconography (a halo, a poop, a pumpkin, a bridal veil), and one canvas, the framed photograph; the only other mark is a scissors glyph at top centre. Two stickers are already placed on this night shot of the sleeping cult (a red heart, a green Zzz), which is the whole interaction model in one frame: you do not tune focal lengths here, you annotate your flock. The design continuity is the point worth studying, the palette, the flourishes and the halftone surround are drawn in the same hand as the game's menus, so a post-game toy inherits the cult's visual identity instead of importing a generic editor's. The trailer's caption sits in the blue surround below the canvas. Frame at about 0:39 in the Relics of the Old Faith Trailer (Steam), a manual probe extraction (probes/relics-photo-38.8.png at 38.8s in the cult-of-the-lamb-all audit workdir; the scene-change candidate at 38.0s caught the viewfinder a moment earlier, still fading in).

Screen inventory
- left, the tool rail on black: a two-column sticker palette drawn entirely from the game's own iconography, music notes, a poop, a pumpkin face, a top hat, a bridal veil, spiral eyes, sunglasses, a halo, an angel wing, horns, a bat wing, with a slim scrollbar and red thumb at the rail's outer edge
- top centre, the editor's only chrome: a scissors glyph flanked by stitched flourishes, the crop/edit mark, in the same hand-drawn line as every other menu in the game
- the canvas: the photograph itself in a white border, the cult asleep in and around its tents at night, already decorated, with a big red heart sticker and a green Zzz sticker placed by the player; the stickers are the same flat pictograms as the palette, dropped onto the photo at toy scale
- the deep-blue halftone surround is the editor's own chrome (the frame the mode presents photos in)
