What to study
Monoco copies the skills of the enemies he defeats, and his interface is a wheel of masks: ten collected forms arranged as a dial whose pointer advances every time he casts, empowering whatever it points at. Rendering a build-around mechanic as a literal wheel, readable at a glance, its current state (ALMIGHTY) named under it with the rule in one sentence, lets a complex system sit permanently on the battle screen without a menu dive. The frame also shows the game's damage grammar at its clearest: white number, element icon, and a torn-ink Weakness! banner, against the Chromatic Danseuse's named health bar. Every character in this game gets a bespoke instrument panel; the wheel is the most inventive of them. Frame at about 1:07 in the Pre-order Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v1_0021).

- Monoco's Bestial Wheel is a physical dial at right: ten mask tiles arranged in a circle on an ink splash, each mask a different colour and glyph, with a gold pointer at the top position; beneath it the panel reads BESTIAL WHEEL / ALMIGHTY and the rule in prose, 'Casting Skills moves the Wheel's pointer. Corresponding Skills are more powerful.'
- the hit resolves in the centre of the snowy arena: a white 2,276 damage number with a blue ice-crystal element icon, and directly under it a torn black ink banner lettered Weakness! in gold, the elemental verdict gets its own strip of calligraphy rather than a colour change on the number
- the boss bar at top names CHROMATIC DANSEUSE and ends in the same 2,276 figure at its right tip, tying the floating number to the health it removed; the enemy itself is a pink-and-ice crystal beast beside the black void orb of the attack
- party medallions at lower right show the wheel's owner in the roster: Lune 1612/1612, Esquie, drawn as his white-furred portrait, 1441/1441 with a shield badge, and Maelle 2002/2002 Stanceless, with Gradient Charges 0/3 in gold script at bottom centre
