What to study

The inspection loop turned on people: where the handbook teaches you to read a cigarette pack, this card teaches you to read a face - three labelled tells (chip, pupils, expression) that mark a customer as something other than human. The annotation style is pure field guide, red ink and leader lines, and it doubles as the game's synth-detection tutorial without a word of prose. Frame at about 0:32 in the Release Date + Demo Launch Trailer (Steam), a scene-change survivor (v0_0018 at 31.82s) inspected at full resolution in this run; the card is shown at the trailer's tilt, disclosed in the elements.

Screen inventory

  • a dossier-style card, photographed at a slight tilt in the trailer: a pixel portrait (goggles pushed up, work shirt, goatee grin) with three red callout boxes and leader lines
  • the callouts name what to look for, in the game's own red serif: VISIBLE AUG CHIP (at the ear), UNUSUAL PUPILS (across the eyes), UNCANNY EXPRESSION (the mouth)
  • a red FEATURES header band runs across the top, cropped by the trailer's framing; the card's paper texture and red rules make it read as an in-world document, not a HUD element
