What to study

Research as a radial map of the station itself: every unlock, from the Insect Farm to the Vohle Engine, sits as a node on concentric rings around a render of the Tiqqun, so the tech tree reads as the ship. The checkmarks on the Vohle Engine and EKP booster show what is already researched, the dimmed Probe Launcher and Crops Farm what is still locked, and the dot rows above each node are the upgrade pips still to earn. The 2450 science balance top right is the only currency that matters on this screen. Frame at about 92.6 s in the IXION Gameplay Trailer (Steam). No trailer burn-in. Note: the wheel extends past the frame edges left and right (Crops Farm and the far-left node are cropped); that is how the screen scrolls, not a capture defect.
