What to study
Cybernetics are Qud's second character-building language, and the screen teaches its grammar instantly: implants are not a shop list but a body map written as text, the same implant exists once per body slot it can occupy (dermal insulation three times, translucent skin twice), because where a thing is installed is part of what it is. The detail panel then splits its answer into the game's two registers: one sentence of dense science-fantasy prose that justifies the implant in the fiction, and one terse stat line (+2 DV, dodge value) that prices it in the system. Nothing else competes for attention, no portrait, no price column, no rarity colour, which is why a screen with seventeen rows stays readable. Frame at about 0:39 in the Out Now Trailer (Steam; manual extraction from the 1 frame / 2s filmstrip pass).

Screen inventory
- the implant list is organised by the body it modifies, every row names its slot in parentheses: optical bioscanner (Face), optical technoscanner (Face), dermal insulation in (Body), (Head) and (Back) variants as separate rows, night vision (Face), hyper-elastic ankle tendons (Feet), parabolic muscular subroutine (Arm), translucent skin (Body) and (Back), stabilizer arm locks (Arm), rapid release finger flexors (Hands), carbide hand bones (Hands), pentaceps (Feet), inflatable axons (Head), nocturnal apex (Head), and a checked <none> at the bottom
- the cursor row is translucent skin (Back), and the detail panel pairs its large pixel icon, a torso whose red circulatory and nervous networks show through pale skin, with the fiction sentence 'The diaphanous dermis throws the circulatory, muscular, and nervous networks into silhouetted relief.' and the entire mechanical payload in one line: '+2 DV'
- the header repeats the creation grammar of the mutations step, 'character creation :choose cybernetic implant:', so the True Kin implant choice reads as the same kind of decision as the mutant's mutation choice, one tab later in the same flow
