What to study

REKA's conversations are kept deliberately bare. Facing the spirit Godzimir in a dark forest, the whole interface is three pieces of text: his name centred low on screen, his one line under it, 'I greet you.', and, at bottom right, the player's replies on a plain dark strip. The current choice, 'Why are you here, spirit?', is marked with a small knotwork diamond, the same folk-embroidery language the game's menus use, and 'Goodbye' waits underneath as the always-available exit. There is no dialogue box, portrait or history panel; the spirit itself, lit by the orb in its chest, stays the focus while the words float at the edges. Frame at about 0:22 in the Ashes & Ancestors Update Trailer (Steam).
