What to study

The turn-based retrofit keeps the isometric battlefield but reframes it as a tactics board: the top banner names the acting character and initiative (Aloth, 4), the right-hand Current Round list ranks every combatant with health bars, and the bottom holds the party portraits, the tiered ability bar (I-VIII) and a green End Turn button. Targeting is explicit rather than implied: the selected attack paints a red area circle on the ice with a hit-chance marker, so the player judges the spell before committing. Frame at about 1:12 in the Turn Based Mode trailer (Steam).
